What do I do with my PI calf?

What do you do with a PI calf? This is a difficult question to answer but the first thing you need to do is quarantine the animal. In a noncompetitive environment PI's tend to grow relatively well. PI's are safe to consume so you can either take it to the locker for personal use, attempt to grow it and sell it to a packer, or you can euthanize the animal.

Accredited veterinarians cannot provide health papers on an animal with a contagious or infectious disease for interstate movement or auction market. In some states, it is illegal to move a PI off the premises without permission from the state. It is unethical to sell an animal with a known disease without disclosure.
