Compliance Officer Job Description

Central States Testing, LLC is a family-owned laboratory and bio-technology company that specializes in BVDV testing. Since it's inception, it has grown to one of the nations largest laboratories for BVD-PI testing. Recently, we licensed our new diagnostic test kit, the CST-QuickTest, that allows cattle producers and veterinarians alike to quickly and easily test their own samples on-site.

The roll of a Compliance Officer is to ensure that the company and all activities fall within regulatory bounds set forth by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Center for Veterinary Biologics. Field-specific  knowledge/background is not required, we are happy to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Primary

Expected to oversee Production and R&D Facility to ensure all CVB guidelines and paperwork are followed in the production, storage and packaging of products, facility maintenance, sanitation as well as Standard Operating Procedure maintenance.

Develop a firm understanding of Code of Federal Regulations Title 9 and applicable CVB Memoranda.

Secondary CVB Liaison responsibilities and understanding of CVB Online Portal.

Secondary

Assist with all areas of production, sales, inventory management and invoicing of client
orders; as well as lend a hand in running in-house testing if necessary.

 

Develop confidence to trouble shoot client testing issues. Also develop a firm understanding
of the BVDV disease plus the physical and economic consequences of its impact to the
livestock industry. Know the mechanism of the test and be able to address mechanical
issues of client’s equipment.

 

Be willing to be on a rotating schedule to monitor test production and be on call over a
weekend to address possible issues. Be prepared to assist with duties in the warehouse
(loading and unloading order and transfer of product to the production facility), and be
willing to maintain cleanliness and maintenance within and around the production facility.

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to operate a loader

  • Work in a fast paced environment

  • Total Compensation Package of $70,000 - $90,000 BOE
